About the Event

Join the Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado for our October virtual meeting.

Mona Petrocco Klein will inform us about “Innovate Colorado: A Collaborative Law Enforcement and Child Welfare Response to Human Trafficking.” She will talk about what that grant means to Colorado, with a focus on the Area Human Trafficking Specialist (AHTS) positions that have been established in Colorado. Mona has been part of the Alliance to Combat Human Trafficking – Pueblo (ACHT-P) since 2013. Mona serves on the Colorado Human Trafficking Council. She is certified as a facilitator for the Colorado Human Trafficking Council curriculum. She also functions as the ACHT-P liaison to the Colorado Front Range Anti-Trafficking Coalition (FRAC).

Sister Rose Ann Barmann will discuss Bakhita Mountain Home, which assists women who wish to be healed from the trauma they have experienced, gain self-sufficiency and successfully reintegrate into society as healthy and productive members. Currently, Bakhita Mountain Home is the only home in Colorado for women over the age of 18 who have been freed from Human Trafficking.

Networking! Register with your organization's name so that we can feature all the organizations represented. You'll be able to connect with others through chat in the meeting. (Organization and title are optional - all concerned citizens are welcomed.)
